MOVEABLE ARTS is an education company established in the Broadway community that provides programming in the art and business of the performing arts. Our mission is to provide workshops and educational events that merge education and industry, providing a bridge that rarely exists for young artists between school and the start of a professional career.
We offer custom tailored workshops to students, schools and programs that focus on issues concerning the working professional in the performing arts industry today. Our programs are designed to help students be themselves, identify personal goals and give a true experience of the professional world of the performing arts.
Our collective of educators are established Broadway, Film and TV professionals dedicated to teaching a specific yet personal curriculum only those within our community can offer.
The goal of our company is to enhance the education of future professionals and to answer the questions of students, families and educators regarding the practical life of the professional in the performing arts.

MOVEABLE ARTS produces educational events in New York City that focus on the career aspects of the performing artist. We gather top professionals in all areas of the New York Theatre industry who share key
information on creating a life in the arts in terms of both business and art. Our retreats program
embodies the Moveable Arts mission to merge education and industry at the highest level in an effort to
nurture the next generation of theatre professionals.

ADAM PELTY, since childhood, has been a professional in the performing arts. His early experience encompassed everything from jingles for national television and radio commercials to work in feature films to leading roles in musicals. The son of Chicago celebrity Lee Pelty, Adam appeared in his fathers nightclub act, while studying and working as a featured soloist with Ruth Page's Chicago Ballet. He was formally trained at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and United States International University in San Diego and London, and also attended Purdue University, touring internationally as a soloist with the Purdue Glee Club. Adam's adult professional acting career has garnered him over fifty regional credits and has taken him on national and European tours as well as to Broadway, where he has appeared in Cyrano - The Musical, Steel Pier, A Christmas Carol, Joseph..., The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Titanic. He has worked with such greats as Susan Stroman, Frank Galati, Ann Reinking, Terrence McNally, Chita Rivera, Kander and Ebb, Frank Wildhorn, and Mike Ockrent, to name a few. As a choreographer, Adam has staged dances for film, television specials, and commercials. He created the choreography for the original Broadway production of The Scarlet Pimpernel as well as for Kenny Rogers in Christmas from the Heart at the Beacon Theatre. Adam is certified in fencing and stage combat by the British Society of Fight Directors, and teaches master classes in theatre art throughout the United States. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Pelty served as Director of High School Musical Theatre at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, where he continues to serve as consultant and adjuct faculty. Recently he worked on Frank Wildhorn's new musical WAITING FOR THE MOON and choreographed and played Henry in Allan Knee's play SYNCOPATION for Capital Rep in Albany, NY as well as Merrimack Rep outside of Boston, MA. Adam lives in New York City with his ten-year-old son, Noah.
MATTHEW STOCKE has spent the last eleven years in New York city making his living as a professional actor. He made his Broadway debut in 1998 in the Tony award winning musical TITANIC. Two years later, he was cast in the original production of THE FULL MONTY, understudying and performing the role of Jerry Lukowski over fifty times during the two year run of the show. In 2003, he began the year-long run of THE BOY FROM OZ, starring Hugh Jackman. Last year, he was a member of the original cast of THE WEDDING SINGER, and performed on the TONY Awards for the third time. Matt has traveled to 42 states in numerous Regional and summer stock theatres as well as the National Tour of TITANIC. In 2001, he performed the revealing final number from THE FULL MONTY on Great Britain's Royal Variety Performance, where he and his cast mates bared it all for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. No kidding! Television appearances include co-starring roles on "Law & Order", "30 Rock", "The Sopranos", "Conviction" and "Chappelle's Show". Over the years, Matt has had the honor to work with such amazing entertainers as Kathleen Freeman, Gary Morris, Phil Ramone, Jarrod Emick, Beth Fowler, Sutton Foster, Jerry Orbach, Sam Waterston, John Rando, Rob Ashford, Christian Borle, Len Cariou, George Hearn, Rita Gardner, Tina Fey, Chris Meloni, Shuler Hensley, Patrick Wilson, Elton John, Carol Kane, Dave Chappelle, Bea Arthur, Terence McNally, Andrew McCarthy, Richard Maltby Jr., Robert Morse, Jack OBrien and Jerry Mitchell. He received a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1995, and returns often as a guest instructor. Currently, Matt is performing the role of the Father in the original Los Angeles production of WICKED.
